What is Buycate?
Buycate enables shoppers to buy as a group to save on shipping and buy in bulk. It is a Chrome Extension that allows users to initiate and join group carts from their friends, family and coworkers. Shoppers add their items to the group cart and the initiator of the group cart buys the items and ships them to their place. The initiator then collects payment and distributes the items to those that joined the group cart.
Why buy as a group?
Two reasons: 1) save on shipping and 2) wholesale prices. Shoppers often only want to buy a few items and do not reach the free shipping limit (i.e. $35) on many online retailers. Buy grouping items with friends, family, coworkers and others nearby, they can save on shipping. The other reason is to buy in bulk and split items with others. Shoppers get the discount of wholesale prices.
What retailers are supported?
Currently we support Amazon, Walmart, Target and Shein. We are adding more retailers. Please contact us at contact@buycate.com if there are retailers you would like us to support.
Who distributes the items?
The initiator of the group cart is in charge of buying the items and distributing them to those that joined.
